This is actually the first time I’ve seen this guy, but he’s actually kind of funny…like my Grandpa.   Here’s a bunch of comments by viewers at Free Century.

Whenever Buddhism has taken root in a new land there has always been a certain variation in the style in which it is observed.
The Buddha himself taught differently according to the place, the occasion, the situation of those who were listening to him.
So, all of us have the responsibility to take the essence of Buddhism and put it into practice in our own lives.

Can’t Wait to Hear the Whole Thing

Posted by Brian on May 22, 2007

The second I heard Maroon 5′s new single “Makes Me Wonder” on American Idol, I couldn’t wait to hear what else they had up their sleeve for their anticipated album “It Won’t be Soon Before Long”.  Well, the album is out today and I can’t wait to give it a whirl.

Feeling Like a Kid Again

Posted by Brian on May 22, 2007

Natalie and I stayed up until 11:30 last night playing Super Paper Mario on the Wii. It’s kind of funny how the Wii keeps track of the amount of time the Wii is on. Apparently we played for 9 Hours!!!!. WOW!!!! It sure didn’t seem like it. Natalie has never had a Nintendo and the only time she ever got to play was when she went babysitting. We bought some Wii points yesterday and bought Super Mario Brothers from the Virtual Console. I think Natalie played Super Mario Brothers for well over four hours. I was shocked at how well I remembered how the game went. It was kind of a trip down memory lane.

THE OFFICIAL SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL WEBSITE Smash Bros. DOJO!!

I’ve also been tracking the launch of the new Smash Bros. Brawl Website. I’ve never played any of the Smash Bros. games, but now, like a 10 year old kid, I’m anticipating its release, which apparently will be sometime in 2007. However, I don’t think it will be until late 2007 since the game wasn’t listed on Nintendo’s upcoming games announcement. The biggest game coming out this summer looks like Metroid: Prime 3 Corruption.

Here’s the rest of the upcoming games for the Wii I found at Kotaku.com:

July 30 Mario Strikers Charged Nintendo
Aug. 20 Metroid Prime 3 Corruption Nintendo
September Battalion Wars 2 Nintendo
Aug. 14 High School Musical: Sing It! Disney Interactive Studios
Aug. 14 Madden NFL ’08 EA
August Tiger Woods PGA Tour ’08 EA
August Space Station Tycoon Namco Bandai
August Brunswick Pro Bowling Crave
August Dave Mirra BMX Challenge Crave
August Pinball Hall of Fame: Crave
The Williams Collection
September Brothers in Arms Ubisoft
September Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal Warner Bros.
September George of the Jungle Crave
Fall Boogie EA
I was wanting to get Madden 07 or Tiger Woods Golf 07, but now that I know the ’08 versions will be out in August, I think I’ll save my $50 and get the new versions.

How to Become a Creative Genius

Posted by Brian on May 21, 2007

Found a decent article at Lifehack.org on ways to develop creativity. I liked the picture since I’m reading the latest Einstein book.

Here are some of the tips, without elucidation.

1. Keep a Notebook and Pencil on hand at all times.

2. The second key to creativity is to ask questions.3. To become a creative genius, you must also be a voracious reader.

4. Seek out new experiences.

5. Become a whole-brain thinker.

6. The final tool for developing your creativity is imaginary dialogue.
